Description
This Cheesecake Brownie Recipe combines two dessert favorites into one rich, fudgy, and creamy bite. Swirls of tangy cheesecake layered over chocolate brownies make for an irresistible treat.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar (for cheesecake layer)
- 1 egg (for cheesecake layer)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until combined.
- Spread brownie batter into the prepared pan. Reserve 1/4 cup for topping.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla until smooth.
- Pour cheesecake mixture over brownie batter in pan. Drop spoonfuls of reserved brownie batter on top and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the center is just set. Cool completely before cutting.
Notes
For best texture, refrigerate before slicing. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can freeze leftovers for up to 2 months.
